Keep the last fire burning
Everything a new chief needs: how to start, how the camp works, heroes, battles, clans and the frozen lands beyond the pass. The quest card in the game always shows your next step, so use this guide when you want the details.
π₯Getting started
Stone Clans runs in your browser on PC and phone. No download.
1 Β· Get a wallet
Install Phantom or Solflare (browser extension on PC, app on phone). Your wallet is your account: no email and no password.
2 Β· Connect and sign
Press Connect and sign the login message. Signing is free and is never a transaction.
3 Β· Founder Pack
One Founder Pack per wallet opens the gates. It comes with Gems, Hero Shards, speedups, a Rare hero, a 3rd builder and the Founder border.
4 Β· Play anywhere
Your camp is saved on our server and tied to your wallet. Open the game on another device, connect the same wallet, and you continue where you left off. On phones the game plays in landscape.
π§Basics
You are Kit, the young chief of a stone age camp.
Moving
PC: WASD or the arrow keys. Phone: drag the round joystick at the bottom left. You can also tap the ground and Kit walks there.
Camera
Drag with the mouse or one finger to look around. Mouse wheel or two-finger pinch to zoom. Zoom in to see building names.
Gather
Walk next to a tree, rock, fishing hole, wild wheat or gold rock and press Gather (E on PC, the big round button on phone).
Tap things
Tap a building to open it: upgrade, collect, train, speed up. Tap people with a name tag to talk.
Top bar
Power is how strong your camp is (buildings, fighters and heroes). Then Wood, Stone, Fish, Wheat and Gold, your people and room in huts, your army, Gems and Warmth.
Quest card
The card at the top left is the story path: 109 quests through 18 chapters. Tap it to read the full step; when it says Claim, take the reward. Chapters open new features one by one.
Your screen
Top left: your chief, your resources and the quest card. Top right: Advisor and Menu, then Shop, Top-up, Daily, Event and Trophies. Bottom: Heroes, Army, Bag, Clan, Mail and Town (a lock shows what opens later), with a one-line chat above them: tap it to open the chat. Bottom right: Build and Attack. Decor and Find Kit are in the Menu.
πYour camp
Build
Press Build, pick a building and choose a spot. Green squares are free, red are blocked. On phone press β Build here. Your builders need time; the timer shows above the scaffold.
Upgrade
Tap a building β Upgrade. Higher levels give more output, more room or stronger fighters. Buildings cannot go above the Chief's Hut level, so upgrade the Chief's Hut first when you are stuck.
Collect
Grain Field, Lumberjack Camp, Stone Hut, Fishing Hut and Gold Mine fill up over time. Tap them or the floating icon to collect. A full Storage Cave stops production.
Inside the heat
Huts and most buildings must stand inside the orange heat circle of the Great Fire. Upgrade the Great Fire to make the circle bigger.
Move and tidy
Press Move to put a building somewhere else. Advisor β Tidy camp lines everything up in one tap, and Undo puts it back.
Fences and gates
Build β Defense β Fence & Gate. Fences go along the edges between plots. Gates let your people through but stop raiders. Upgrade fences with Stone, up to your Chief's Hut level.
Snowed land
Your camp starts with a 17Γ17 heart. Deep snow covers the land around it in three rings. Tap a β Snowed land sign to clear one side of a ring. The outer rings open only after the ring inside them on the same side is clear.
| Ring | Camp size | Chief's Hut level |
|---|---|---|
| Heart | 17 Γ 17 | From the start |
| Ring 1 | 21 Γ 21 | 3, 4, 5, 6 (each side you clear) |
| Ring 2 | 25 Γ 25 | 5, 5, 6, 6 |
| Ring 3 | 31 Γ 31 | 6, 7, 7, 7 |
Speedups
Gems and speedup items in your Bag cut timers. General speedups work on anything; Building, Training, Research and Healing speedups only on their own timer.
βοΈSurvival
Warmth
The Great Fire burns Wood to keep everyone warm. When Warmth drops, people get sick and work slower. Keep Wood in storage and feed the fire.
Blizzards
A Drum Tower warns you before a blizzard. During a blizzard the fire burns Wood twice as fast. Stock up before it hits.
Food
Your people eat Fish and Wheat. Grain Fields and Fishing Huts make food. No food means sick people and slow work.
Survivors at the gate
New survivors wait at the camp gate. Open the People panel and Accept or Turn away. Accept only when you have room in your huts and enough food.
Healer's Hut
Fighters who fall are wounded, not dead. The Healer's Hut heals them for Fish and time.
βοΈArmy
Three barracks
- Warrior Camp: Club Warrior, Axe Brute (Lv 4), Hammer Champion (Lv 7).
- Hunter Lodge: Spear Thrower, Fire Archer (Lv 4), Spirit Shaman (Lv 7).
- Beast Pen: Wolf Rider, Sabertooth Rider (Lv 4), Mammoth Rider (Lv 7).
Army space
Normal fighters take 1 space, tier 2 take 3, tier 3 take 5. Army space comes from barracks levels.
Training and research
Tap a barracks β Train (costs food and time). The Lab makes fighters stronger, the Defense Lab makes towers and traps stronger. One research at a time.
β¨Heroes
Heroes lead your army and fight in the Duel Arena. Each fighting hero has one skill that fires on its own when ready, or when you tap the hero card.
Summon
Shaman's Stones (Chapter 7): summon heroes with Gems, one at a time or ten at once. Duplicates become Hero Shards.
Level and stars
Level heroes up with materials. Star them up at the Hero Altar with Hero Shards. Higher stars make skills stronger.
Roles
- Tank: lots of health, holds the front.
- Striker: hits hard up close.
- Ranged: hits from far.
- Support: keeps the team alive.
- Leader: makes the whole team stronger.
Villagers
Grok, Mika, Bram and Nell are Villagers: they do not fight, they work the camp (stone, fish, wood and wheat).
Fighting heroes
| Hero | Rarity | Role | Skill |

| Old Tuk | Legendary | Striker | Ancestral Inferno: a falling sun becomes a pillar of fire and burning ground. |
| Brakka | Legendary | Tank | Glacier Wall: a wall of ice the enemy must break first. |
Menu β Hero Skills shows every skill on training dummies.
πΉBattles
Battles run by themselves. Plan your army, your heroes and your timing.
Rival Tribes
The story enemies. Each camp shows its Power and your chance (Easy win / Win / You will lose). Beat them in order.
Beast Raids Β· Chapter 10
Hunt wolf, sabertooth, cave bear and mammoth dens. Each den has 5 levels and a boss. 5 hunt tickets a day.
Chief Raids Β· Chapter 15
Attack the camps of real chiefs for loot and Trophies. You have 4 minutes and earn up to 5 stars (25% of the camp, the Chief's Hut, 50%, 75%, 100%). One star is a win. 5 raid tickets; one refills every 4 hours. After your camp is raided you get a 4 hour shield and one Revenge. Every Sunday at 17:00 UTC the league chest arrives and Trophies drop to 80%.
Explore Β· Chapter 9
Your heroes and fighters hunt stage by stage along the Hunting Trail. Every 5th stage has a boss. Explore also fills the Smoke Rack while you are away; claim it when you come back.
World Map Β· Chapter 15
Send squads to hunt, gather and attack camps across the valley. Marching takes time.
Defending
Towers, traps, fences and trained fighters defend your camp on their own. If the enemy has the same Power as your camp, the defenders win, so attack with a clear lead.
ποΈDuel Arena
Opens in Chapter 6 (Clanmates and Champions). The arena stands in the Trading Grounds.
How it works
Pick up to five heroes. You get three opponents: a bit weaker, equal and a bit stronger. Opponents bring the same number of heroes as you, of the same rarity and role. A fight lasts up to 75 seconds; if time runs out, the team with more health left wins.
Tickets
5 Duel tickets a day (reset at 17:00 UTC). You can buy up to 3 more with Gems.
Points and titles
Wins give points (more for a stronger opponent), losses take a few. The weekly board settles every Sunday at 17:00 UTC: the top 10 earn a title for the week and rewards by Mail. The champion's statue stands by the arena.
Daily Duel missions
Fight 3 Duels, win 1, win 3, use 5 hero skills, and win with a hero still at 80% health or more.
πRankings
The Hall of Chiefs: the strongest chiefs of the valley on one page. Every name on it is a real chief.
Boards
Power, chief level, quests and heroes, plus the weekly Overall. Clans have their own ranking.
Fair play
Chiefs who are banned or flagged for cheating are left off every board.
π©Clans and chat
Clans
Create a clan with Gems, or join one. Open clans let you in at once; closed clans need the Chief or an Elder to accept. A clan has a name and a 2β4 letter tag shown above your name.
Ranks
Chief runs the clan, Elders accept new members, Members chat and help.
Clan help
Ask your clan for help on a building upgrade. Each helper makes it finish sooner.
Chat
World chat and clan chat. One message every 3 seconds, no repeats. Report bad messages with the report button; admins can mute or ban.
Live towns
In the Trading Grounds, Farmlands and Frost Hollow you see other real chiefs walking. Up to 30 chiefs share a room. Tap a chief to see their profile, invite them to your clan or wave with an emote. Your own camp stays private.
Clan 2.0
Clan labs make every member stronger, the weekly clan goal fills with everyone's work and opens clan chests, and the clan ranking shows the strongest clans of the valley.
π§Frost Hollow
How to get in
Chapter 16 (Frost Hollow). Walk through the Frost Pass, the north gate of the Trading Grounds.
Warmth outside
Warmth drops outside the Last Fire Camp. Under 30 you move and mine slower; at 0 you are carried back (you keep your crystals). Warm up at the big fire or a lit Brazier.
Crystals
Frost Shards, Blue Crystals and Heart Crystals, each with a daily limit. Trade them with Grub for furs, coal, speedups, Hero Shards and decor.
Frost Titan
A world boss that wakes every 4 hours for 30 minutes. Fight it up to 2 times; your share of the reward comes by Mail, more for more damage.
Crystal Rush
Every third day, 00:00β01:00 and 12:00β14:00 UTC: crystals grow back fast and give double.
π³οΈFrozen Depths
A dungeon under the ice, floor by floor, for your best heroes. It opens in the game when it is switched on (see the Roadmap).
How to get in
Chief's Hut level 6 and the Frost Titan beaten once. The entrance is in the Attack menu.
Floors
30 floors under the ice. Normal floors have two waves; every 5th floor ends with a boss that turns enraged at half health.
Attempts
5 attempts a day, and only a lost fight uses one. Every Sunday at 17:00 UTC the dungeon starts again from floor 1.
Rewards
Every floor you clear gives Hero Shards, Frost Shards and a speedup. Boss floors add Gems.
πQuests and rewards
Daily missions Β· Chapter 12
6 missions a day. Points open 3 daily chests.
Weekly
Bigger goals over 7 days with one big chest.
Side quests
People with a ! above their head have a short story with good rewards.
Login gifts, trophies and mail
Come back each day for the 7-day login gifts. Trophies reward big milestones. Mail holds battle reports and gifts.
πͺRewards ($CLANS)
Rewards for play, paid in CLANS and SOL from public wallets. Not an investment: nothing here is financial advice, and the value of CLANS can go up and down.
Token Vault
Server-checked Duel wins and raid wins earn a share of the day's CLANS pool in the Token Vault. Quests and gathering will count later. CLANS in the Vault can be withdrawn to the login wallet every 3 days, from 200 CLANS. Payouts are sent by the team on payout day and arrive with a Mail.
Weekly prizes
The best weekly Duel chiefs of each Power division win SOL and CLANS prizes, paid by the team after the week closes on Sunday at 17:00 UTC. One SOL prize and one CLANS prize per wallet per week. The prize sizes of the week are on the Treasury page.
Who can win
Founder Pack paid, an account at least 3 days old, Chapter 5 reached, 5 server-checked Duels this week, played this week, no ban and no cheat flag. One prize wallet per device.
Top-up Rewards
For chiefs who support the game: a daily gift, a 7-day streak and a weekly ladder. Gems, speedups, Hero Shards, heroes and looks only: they never add Ranking points and never change the prizes.
Transparency
The creator fee is split 50% Development, 10% Buy & Burn and 40% the player Pot: the team claims it and sends the three shares in one transaction, each one public on the Treasury page. The 3% launch buy goes to the Pot and is shared out over 56 days. Every payout is public on Solscan: see the Treasury and how rewards work.
βFAQ
Do I need to pay to play?
One Founder Pack per wallet ($1 in SOL) opens the gates. After that the game is free to play; the Shop is optional.
I lost my progress?
Your camp is saved on our server and tied to your wallet. Connect the same wallet on any device and it comes back. There is no button that wipes it.
Why did my reward not count?
Only results the server can check count: Duels and raids are replayed by the server. Check the rules under "Who can win".
Is CLANS an investment?
No. CLANS rewards are rewards for play. Nothing here is financial advice, and token prices can go up and down.

π‘Tips for new chiefs
Best order
Follow the story card, keep Wood for the fire, upgrade the Chief's Hut whenever you can, keep every builder busy, train fighters while you build, and do the daily missions.
Never letβ¦
β¦the fire go out, the storage fill up, or the builders sit idle.
Before you log off
Start long upgrades and training, collect everything, and claim the Explore chest.
